What is Bistro My Way doing about COVID-19?

The Bistro is working hard to follow government guidelines. We provide hand sanitisation stations at the entrance of the building and maintain strict cleaning protocol.

What will be different when we visit?

Entering the Bistro

When entering, you may wear a mask at your own discretion. These are not required by the government but are advised. Please hand sanitise before entering to maintain upmost hygiene. If you have booked, please let our front of house team know. Where possible, bookings are preferred and can be taken through our website or via telephone.

Ordering

Our menus will be out as usual and are sanitized/disposed of after use. All cutlery, tables and plates have been thoroughly cleaned before re-using. Our staff are encouraged to wear masks but this is not enforced, as guided by the government.

Payment

Where possible, we ask you pay using card to avoid the handling of physical cash. Our card reader is cleaned before and after uses. When possible, contactless is preferred. The limit on contactless payments is £100 (update: as of 05/02/2022).

What if I get symptoms of COVID-19 after my visit?

Please do not visit Bistro My Way if you have any symptoms. If you contract symptoms after visiting, please take a rapid lateral flow and submit your results to the NHS Test and Trace. If your test comes back as positive for COVID-19, please report using the COVID-19 app as you should have scanned the QR code on entering the Bistro. If you did not, please contact us as soon as possible to prevent the spread.

I can't make my visit, can I cancel?

Please only make a booking if you are sure you can make, first of all. In cases where you are unable ot make your booking slot, please contact us as soon as possible so other customers can book.

What is the expiration date of vouchers?

Any old vouchers that were set to expire during lockdown, these were eligable to use up till June 2021. If you did not use your voucher before then, please contact us and we'll let you know any information you'd need.

Updates

5th February 2022

England has returned to Plan A. This means that it is not a legal requirement to wear a face covering and hospitality services are able to return to normal service. We still ask you book where possible in advance, so that the bistro can be accomodating to all visitors and accept as many customers as possible, with prompt service.

23rd April 2021

We have released our main menus for the months of May and June and can be viewed on our menus page. Our steak selections and specials are on offer as usual, and are written on our blackboard in the Bistro.

28th March 2021

The team at Bistro My Way has announced on our Facebook page that we will be opening on the 20th May 2021, following the governments roadmap of easing lockdowns. This may be subject to change and all updates will be posted here and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can!

22nd February 2021

The United Kingdom is still in a National Lockdown, however following the announcement made by the Prime Minister on the 22nd February 2021, we plan on re-opening after 17th May 2021. We intend on delivering more updates when we reach the month of May and are looking forward to re-opening soon.

3rd January 2021

The United Kingdom is in a National Lockdown. This is (was) expected to end February half-term, however this may be extended. We are not sure when we will be re-opened but please continue to check this page and our Facebook page for future updates. Thank you for your support.

31st December 2020

Following the government guidelines of Tier 4, we have closed our doors to protect our staff, customers and stay in line with government legislation. We will re-open when advised by the government.

Our new weekly takeaway menu has been published. We will continue to serve the best quality food, every week now by collection at our door! We've had some amazing reviews posted on our Facebook page and are happy to serve you!

We have re-opened our website in preperation for Christmas bookings. You are now able to book for any date past the 3rd December December 2020.

Following the recent government announcement, Bistro My Way will be temporarily closed from 5th November. As always, to our guests, we thank you for your loyalty and support. We are working on providing take-aways through our social media platforms soon and more information will be released soon.
